Dorothy's Silver Shoes I have received a few emails lately about this topic.
Question: In the new AVON Exclusive Introduction The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, why is Dorothy wearing silver shoes instead of Ruby Slippers?
Answer: The AVON Exclusive pieces are based on the book, not the movie. In L. Frank Baum's fairy tale, Dorothy did
NOT wear Ruby Slippers. Rather, she wore silver shoes. Screenwriters made the change for the movie version. |
